MoodBar is a macOS application designed for simple and effective mood tracking. Our app offers the following key features:
Select emojis to represent your current mood with timestamps
Add personal notes to your mood entries for better context
View your mood patterns and simple statistics over time
Optional periodic reminders to log your mood
Automatically start the app when you log in to your Mac
Full control over your data with "Delete All Data" feature
Privacy-First Design: MoodBar is designed with your privacy as a top priority. All your mood data stays exclusively on your Mac computer.
MoodBar collects and stores the following types of data solely for its core functionality:
The emojis you select to represent your mood
Any optional notes you add to your mood entries
The date and time when you make mood entries
The information collected is used only for the following purposes within the Application:
To provide the core features of the Application (mood tracking, viewing your log)
To display your mood history and simple statistics to you
If you enable them, to send you reminder notifications to log your mood
All your mood entries (emojis, notes, timestamps) are stored securely within the Application's local storage on your Mac using SwiftData technology.
You have full control over your data and can delete it from within the Application at any time using the "Delete All Data" feature.
While we aim to use commercially acceptable means to protect your locally stored data, please remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The security of your data on your local machine is also dependent on the overall security of your computer.
MoodBar does not use any third-party services to collect or process your personal mood data. All data handling and storage occur locally on your device.
Our Application does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information (though MoodBar is designed not to collect it in the first place), please contact us.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected Personal Information from children under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our systems (though, for MoodBar, all data is local to the user's device).
